Purpose
Use Planning a Report to prepare a report for an assignment. Describe the assignment, the format and audience for the report, how you will organize the content, and requirements for grading the report. List someone to review your report when it is finished.
Tips
» A key to success in making a report is planning Know the purpose of your report and who will be the audience before you start organizing your information.
» Be clear about the report format your teacher wants. Know how the report will be graded.
» After you know the format, audience, and expectations for your report, then make on outline of your content. Follow this outline in putting together your report.
» Have a friend, parent, or other teacher review your report and give you feedback so you can improve your report. Practice making your report and proofreading your written report.
