Purpose
Use Getting Information to evaluate sources of information. For each sub-topic, list the sources you have found and the types of information provided. You can make notes about your topics and sources to guide your search.
Tips
» Use this tool to keep track of the sources you find for a project. This will help you go back to check information and to list your references.
» Match each source to the sub-topics of your project.
» For many projects you will need to use different kinds of sources. Use the ratings to record whether each source provides facts, information from experts who know the facts, or just personal opinions.
» If you only have opinions on a topic, do more research to back up the opinions with facts or authorities on the topic.
