Purpose
Use Solving Problems to help you identify a problem, think of and evaluate different solutions, pick a solution, and make a plan to try it out.
Tips
» This tool uses the steps of I•ADAPT to help you think through and solve problems. It is a good idea to go through all the steps and not leave any of the steps out.
» When you analyze alternatives, be sure they are ones you really can do.
» Use a tool to help you make a plan to implement the solution. Good tools are the Self Contract and the Monitoring Card.
» Print out your card and keep it for a reminder of what you plan to do to solve this problem.
» After trying out your plan, evaluate your results and decide if you got the outcome you wanted. If not, use I•ADAPT to revise your plan.
